Tuscany Environment Foundation
Part of the Conservation Collective
The Tuscany Environment Foundation was founded to help protect and restore the extraordinary landscapes, biodiversity and ecological richness of Tuscany.
Though celebrated across the world for its art, food and cultural heritage, Tuscany is also one of Europe’s most environmentally diverse regions, home to coastal wetlands, ancient forests, volcanic landscapes, rivers, islands and an exceptional variety of wildlife. Yet many of these landscapes are increasingly threatened by climate change, unsustainable land management, pollution and the pressures of mass tourism.
The Foundation supports outstanding local environmental organisations and grassroots initiatives working to preserve and restore Tuscany’s natural heritage. By connecting donors, scientists, conservationists and local communities, TEF helps fund projects focused on biodiversity conservation, rewilding, sustainable agriculture, forestry and the long-term resilience of the region’s ecosystems.
Founded alongside Ben Goldsmith as part of the Conservation Collective network, the Foundation seeks to strengthen and amplify the work already being carried out across one of Europe’s most remarkable landscapes.
